We believe in the potential of renewable energy to bring about economic empowerment, and on this project, we are harnessing solar energy and renewable energy technologies for agriculture to achieve this. Prado Power is deploying mini-grids in Jera Bakari and Mbadede communities in Adamawa and Benue States respectively, as well as agro RETs in the community to boost agriculture and increase revenue.
This project is backed by Grand Challenges Canada in their mission provide aid for people in conflict zones.
Prado Power is deploying 40kW solar for a hub which will be called the Prado Energy Hub. This hub will be an agri-processing hub and will house a number of agric post-processing machinery which would be powered by solar energy. 200 solar AIO packs would also be distributed within the community, alongside agric extension services, and market linkage provision.
This project is aimed at improving the livelihoods and living standards of the people of these communities by providing both energy for productive use and for the home also..
