Lafiya-Kpada 50 KW Solar PV Hybrid Mini-Grid

The community has about 455 residential households with an estimated load demand of 64KW and commercial outlets like medicine stores, phone charging outlets, barbing salons, provisions stores etc. with an estimated electricity load of 244KW. Their previous source of electricity was from gasoline generators as they aren’t currently connected to the national grid.

Prado Power developed a 45kw solar mini-grid to curb this deficit and help sustain this community. The Mini-Grid Plant supplies electricity to over a thousand residents. The number of connections are 490.
